There are currently four roles to be filled in the Development Services team at Vistair, outline details are below:

 

Inbound Marketing Assistant

Reporting to the Marketing Director, Vistair is looking to recruit a full-time Inbound Marketing Assistant to join the newly formed marketing and business development team.

Vistair is a leading aviation technology and outsourcing specialist with product – services that support aviation documentation and safety management systems.

The company develops web-based applications that enable airlines to better manage their processes and improve their compliance with regulations. They are highly regarded in the industry for quality and reliability.

This is a development role for an individual who currently works in a marketing role (min 18mths), has the desire and ambition to develop their career in marketing and business development, and has a relevant marketing qualification.

The Inbound Marketing Assistant role primarily involves supporting and, in time, leading a range of marketing and business development projects and activities. In particular the role would be fully involved with the inbound marketing platform currently being implemented.

Vistair is looking for an individual with a number of essential skills including: Min 18mth marketing experience, marketing qualification (or similar), general IT skills (Microsoft Office), commercial awareness, competent written and verbal communication abilities and an ability to work independently.

Based in Bristol although some travel may in time be requested as part of the role the salary range is £20-27k depending upon experience.

Whilst a good understanding of marketing (via qualification for instance i.e. Diploma) is desirable there will be additional training and support for the right candidate. Equally the selected individual must show the desire to develop a career from this role. The candidate must hold both mathematics and English GCSE pass grades.

At a personal level this role will in time become quite demanding so it is essential that the selected individual has the ability to withstand a degree of personal and professional pressure.

Location: Based in Bristol although some travel may in time be requested as part of the role.

Salary: c£20-£27k (depending upon experience)

JAVA Developer (x2 positions)

 

Ultimately reporting to the Head of Development Services, Vistair is looking to recruit a full-time JAVA Developer to join the in-house Development Team of this leading aviation technology and outsourcing specialist.

 

Vistair develop web based applications that enable airlines to better manage their processes and improve their compliance with regulations. They are highly regarded in the industry for quality and reliability.

 

Vistair is looking for an individual with a number of essential skills, including: Java web application development experience using Java 8, Excellent knowledge of Java language and core API, Web Browser/Web server/Database interactions, Ability to produce technical documentation to support solutions implemented; and commercial experience with Java 8, XML / XSD, Tomcat, Eclipse IDE, Hibernate / JPA, SVN, Git, Jenkins, Junit / Cucumber / related test tools, Working with DBMSs such as MS SQL Server , Oracle, Postgres and MySQL, Spring Framework, and Javascript, jQuery.

Electronic Document Technician

We now have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Document Services team.

 

This role is to create and maintain technical, operational and training publications for the airline industry in an electronic format designed for viewing on various mobile platforms. The suitable candidate will be familiar with basic software packages and be computer literate. Specific training will be given.

 

The following attributes are required:

  • Computer literacy.
  • Familiar with Microsoft package, e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Communication with all levels and customers by email and by telephone.
  • Able to work alone or within a team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Works well under pressure and able to stick to deadlines.
  • Customer focused, able to use initiative and flexible in approach.
  • Able to work a 37.5 hr week which will include some weekends and bank holidays in return for agreed days in lieu.
  • The working day is 7.5 hrs and the start time is to be agreed with the line manger as required.

Desirable

  • Familiar with Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/FrameMaker.
  • Technical knowledge of html/xml data an advantage but not essential.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Good problem solver.
  • Degree.
