There are currently four roles to be filled in the Development Services team at Vistair, outline details are below:

 

Service Desk Support Analyst (x1 position)

 

Ultimately reporting to the Head of Development Services, Vistair is looking to recruit a full-time Service Desk Analyst ('SDA') to join the in-house Service Desk Team of this leading aviation technology and outsource specialist.

 

The SDA will act as primary point of contact for customers using Vistair products. The role requires real-time problem analysis and resolution of Service Desk tickets of both a technical and non-technical nature. Working within a team environment the individual must be organised, have the ability to speak with confidence to customers and be able to interact with internal development and business analysis teams.

 

Core responsibilities will include problem resolution, technical knowledge of Vistair products, be able to test and replicate reported issues plus an ability to organise communication to customers regarding downtime and development. Customer and/or client focused experience is advantageous whilst analytical and IT skills are a pre-requisite.

JAVA Developer (x2 positions)

 

Ultimately reporting to the Head of Development Services, Vistair is looking to recruit a full-time JAVA Developer to join the in-house Development Team of this leading aviation technology and outsourcing specialist.

 

Vistair develop web based applications that enable airlines to better manage their processes and improve their compliance with regulations. They are highly regarded in the industry for quality and reliability.

 

Vistair is looking for an individual with a number of essential skills, including: Java web application development experience using Java 8, Excellent knowledge of Java language and core API, Web Browser/Web server/Database interactions, Ability to produce technical documentation to support solutions implemented; and commercial experience with Java 8, XML / XSD, Tomcat, Eclipse IDE, Hibernate / JPA, SVN, Git, Jenkins, Junit / Cucumber / related test tools, Working with DBMSs such as MS SQL Server , Oracle, Postgres and MySQL, Spring Framework, and Javascript, jQuery.

Test Analyst

 

Ultimately reporting to the Head of Development Services, Vistair is looking to recruit a full-time Test Analyst to join the in-house Development Team of this leading aviation technology and outsourcing specialist.

 

Vistair develop web based applications that enable airlines to better manage their processes and improve their compliance with regulations. They are highly regarded in the industry for quality and reliability.

 

The Test Analyst will be responsible for the QA and testing phase of software development projects. Responsibilities will cover the complete lifecycle of testing activities, including preparation of test plans and test cases, execution of tests, replication of faults, test reporting, retesting and closeout.

 

Vistair is looking for an individual with a number of essential skills, including: Experience of testing Web applications, good understanding of structured testing and test methodologies, the ability to document test conditions and test cases, and the ability to create and execute manual tests for integration and system level testing for both new products and product fixes.

 

Key Responsibilities will include: All types of functional and non-functional testing, including installation and regression testing, Production of test plans and detailed test cases for new products and product fixes, Execution of tests in accordance with plans and release schedules, Accurate reporting of test outcome and issues, Replication and documentation of faults found during test runs and Contribution to QA improvement projects.
